Lilac and Bungalow

February 18, 2009

Ah, I speed read The Bungalow Mystery and The Mystery at Lilac Inn.

The Bungalow Mystery was … okay. It never was a favorite, but it has suspense and I like that there is the point of view of Mr. Drew and Chief McGinnis. All of that sleuthing Nan did for dad was hilarious! I think it would have been great if Nancy actually did take those dogs for a walk… ๐Ÿ™‚ The story line near the end was similar to Lilac Inn with the whole Stumpy thing. OH, and Miss Hanson, Carson’s secretary is in this book! Basically, it was a great book to develop characters.

The Mystery at Lilac Inn was suspenseful but I think it had too many impostors that used to many names. Including Nancy and Helen’s fake names! It was a long book (even if it is exactly as many pages as the other books…) and I thought that Lilac Inn could have been described better.
