Nancy Drew: The Crime Lab Case

March 7, 2010

This book was a lot of fun for me, because I enjoy chemistry and this whole book centers on a ‘chemystery’ camp.

Nancy is helping a college professor organize a camp for teens to solve a staged mystery with forensics specialists teaching them along the way. But the professor falls into a comma, and now Nancy has to organize AND solve a mystery!

I suppose I like this book. There were a lot of characters, though, and I was surprised when Nancy was able to finagle the gang to be counselors for the teams. The plot was okay, it was plausible. Lots of suspense and suspects.

I know that sounds really dull, but that’s about as much as I can say without giving away the story. If you’re not a science geek, you probably won’t enjoy all of the chemical garb. But if your into it, the lack of depth that a ‘serial fiction’ has is made up for with the interesting details.

Nancy Drew Scale: 10/10
Real Novel Scale… aw com’on, that isn’t fair….
